It was one of those sessions. Cancel. Don’t. Cancel. Don’t. But with an impending hurricane, we knew this was the only time we would have. Who knew the clouds would break for a short time? Just enough to get our awesome session in?
I remember this session vividly. I pulled up to the house in Strathmere and there was a huge sign celebrating the “captain” which was their grandfather. I loved their nickname for him as we never called my grandmother the traditional nicknames of nana, grandma etc. She was my “dade” named by my cousin.
I think how to dress for a family session is often one of the most asked questions I get. For me, my favorite session was the one by Diana Palmer of YanPhotography where I literally let me kids pick out their own clothes. But I get it. It’s a process to dress sometimes 20+ family…
One of the last sessions of the summer was these three beautiful little ladies with their parents (and grandmother). I loved how I did not really have to pose them and I joked to their mama that 1. they must do this often and 2. the girls must be dancers 🙂
